The Federal Authorities and organised labour on Thursday agreed to N70,000 as the brand new minimal wage towards the N250,000 demanded by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Commerce Union Congress (TUC).

Nevertheless, the Organised Labour has given causes for accepting the N70,000 new minimal wage as accepted by President Bola Tinubu accepted on Thursday.

President of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero informed journalists briefly after labour’s assembly with the federal authorities that the unions had accepted the provide.

Ajaero stated the labour centres agreed to the provide due to different incentives connected.

He gave another excuse for accepting the provide to the promise made by President Tinubu to a evaluate of the minimal wage each three years towards what obtained up to now.
