Billionaire Nigerian businessman and socialite Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly often called Obi Cubana, has lastly revealed the non-public causes behind the lavish funeral for his late mom.
In line with Obi Cubana, the grandeur of the ceremony was deeply tied to a longstanding custom in his household.
Obi Cubana disclosed that no member of his household has ever lived to see their eightieth birthday, a generational jinx that he revealed publicly for the primary time.
The philanthropist recounted how his late mom, who handed away in 2020, nearly broke this long-standing jinx.
Recall that the philanthropist’s mother passed away on December 31st at the age of 79.
Reflecting on the loss, Obi Cubana disclosed that his household had been eagerly getting ready for the potential of their mom surpassing the 80-year mark.
He talked about that they’d even begun saving up for a grand celebration to honor what would have been an unprecedented achievement of their lineage.

“In my household, no one has lived as much as 80 years, and I’m saying this for the primary time. My father died at 66, my grandmother died at 75, my grandfather died at 78, and it ran via to my mother.
“All my siblings are married and profitable, and we had been praying for my mom to interrupt the generational jinx and the type of celebration we might throw for her, no one would have ever carried out it; we even began saving up for that. And she or he died on December 31, on the age of 79, after celebrating 78.
