The College of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo Metropolis, Ondo State, the primary specialised College of Medical Sciences in Nigeria, has appointed Oduwole Adebambo Adewale as the brand new Librarian of the establishment.
Oduwole Adebambo holds a PhD in Library and Data Research, with 32 years expertise as a Librarian in tertiary establishments.
In a press release by Isaac Oluyi, the Public Relations Officer(PRO) of the College, Oduwole has beforehand labored at Lagos State College Faculty of Medication, Lagos State College, Ojo, Lagos, Olabisi Onabanjo College, In the past-Iwoye, amongst others.
In line with him, “Oduwole, CLN, MNIM, PMP, CBAP, is a recipient of many coveted educational distinctions and awards. He was the Greatest Pupil in Scientific Sources and Data (MLS,1996), Greatest Pupil in Cataloguing and Classification (MLS, 1996), and received the Emerald/EFM Excellent Doctoral Analysis Award within the Class of Library Research in 2006.
“ He was a Belgian Authorities Fellow (2005), Commonwealth Skilled Fellow, Middlesex College, UK (2005-200,6), and Mortenson’s Fellow, College of Illinois, USA (2006).
“Dr. Oduwole, a thoroughbred and consummate skilled, is a Member, of the Nigerian Library Affiliation (NLA), a Member, of the Cataloguing  Classification and Indexing Part, a Member, of the Affiliation of Agricultural Librarians and Documentalists (AALD), a Member, of the Worldwide Library and Data Group (ILIG), Member, Worldwide Institute of Enterprise Analysts, amongst others.
“He has over 50 publications in each native and worldwide peer-reviewed journals and he’s fortunately married with kids. Dr Oduwole assumed obligation at UNIMED on 1st August 2024.
