President Bola Tinubu has expressed robust assist for Nigeria’s bid for re-election into the FIFA Council.
In line with an announcement by Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the FIFA Council is the principal decision-making organ of the world governing soccer organisation within the intervals of the FIFA Congress.
The Council contains 37 members elected by the FIFA Congress for a renewable time period of 4 years.
“Amaju Pinnick, two-term President of the Nigerian Soccer Federation (NFF), was elected into the Council in March 2021 – the third Nigerian after the late Oyo Orok Oyo and Dr. Amos Adamu.
“Pinnick is in search of re-election into the Council, and President Tinubu helps the bid for Nigeria to retain its seat within the Council,” Ngelale added.
