Shell Petroleum Improvement Firm of Nigeria (SPDC) has confirmed that the current oil spill within the Imiringi group of Bayelsa State was the results of sabotage by oil thieves.
The spill, which occurred on July 27, prompted a statutory Joint Investigative Go to (JIV) to establish the trigger and extent of the injury.
The Media Relations Supervisor of SPDC, Bamidele Odugbesan, disclosed in a press release on Wednesday in Yenagoa saying that the spill, originating from SPDC’s Kolo Creek Properly 22T flowline, resulted within the launch of three barrels of Bonny Mild crude into the setting.
