A Mi-28 navy helicopter has crashed in an uninhabited space of Southwestern Russia, killing the crew, two Russian information businesses mentioned Thursday.

“An Mi-28 crashed within the Kaluga area… the crew died,” the TASS information company mentioned, quoting a supply within the protection ministry.

“In accordance with preliminary data, a technical malfunction brought on the catastrophe,” the Interfax information company mentioned, citing a protection ministry assertion.

An area official instructed TASS that the navy plane crashed in a forest about 150 kilometers (93 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
