The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Police Force has refuted report that its Nyanya Police Division was razed by protesters on Thursday.
Debunking the report, the FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh mentioned, “Opposite to the information making rounds about Nyanya Division being burnt down by violent protesters, the FCT Police Command needs to state that it wasn’t the police division that was burnt however quite, the police container compartment at Nyanya checkpoint that was set ablaze.”
The police spokesperson additionally mentioned there was an try and vandalise the Tipper Storage Police Submit by 4 suspects, who have been subsequently arrested.
SP Adeh gave the names of the suspects as Mathias Jude, 29 of Nyanya Space D; Mohammad Ahmed, 23; Abba Jibril 18 and Mohammad Haruna 18.
