Operatives of the Ekiti State Police Command have arrested a person recognized as Kunle Ogunnusi for assaulting his 4 yr previous youngster.
The person was arrested on Wednesday 14th of August on the Rosebud space of Oke-Ila in Ado-Ekiti, the state’s capital.
The state police spokesman, DSP Sunday Abutu in a press release stated the Command obtained a reputable tip-off that the person was beating and inflicting severe accidents on his 4-year-old youngster.
He stated, “Operatives from Oke-lla Divisional Police Headquarters instantly swung into motion, moved to the scene and arrested the suspect who was met within the act.
“Throughout interrogation, the suspect confessed to the fee of the crime and stated that his motion was out of provocation over his son’s misbehaviour.
“Additional investigation revealed that the suspect is all the time within the behavior of abusing his youngster by beating him with harmful objects and inflicting accidents on him at any slight provocation.”
The state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Akinwale Adeniran, in line with the assertion, stated that the suspect can be arraigned accordingly.
He, nonetheless, implored residents of the state to promptly report any type of abuse, particularly on youngsters and different prison actions noticed inside their environs to the Police for speedy consideration.
