The Oyo State chapter of the Nationwide Affiliation of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has suspended its indefinite strike motion.
Chairman, Oyo State Hospital Administration Board, Dr Akin Fagbemi, confirming the choice, stated the union suspended the strike earlier declared, after the intervention of the Oyo State Authorities.
A letter suspending the strike as collectively signed by the state Chairman, Adeyemi Samuel and Secretary, Comrade Aina Emmanuel, stated the choice adopted the dedication of the state authorities pledging to handle the calls for positioned earlier than it by the management of affiliation.
The letter stated the Oyo State Council of NANNM “has authorized for suspension of our indefinite strike for one month,” including that, “That is to permit for the implementation of the remaining authorized agitations.”

Reacting to the suspension, Dr Fagbemi lauded the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde who he stated had assured the nurses of the implementation of their calls for.
