The Nationwide Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has postponed the month-to-month clearance and weekly group improvement providers (CDS) for corps members throughout the nation.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the actions had been postponed forward of the deliberate nationwide protests towards hardship within the nation scheduled to start on Thursday, August 1.
This was contained in a memo despatched to State Coordinators, Native Authorities Inspectors (LGIs), and Zonal Inspectors (ZIs) throughout the 36 states of the federation.
The memo reads: “In furtherance to our earlier memo reminding corps members of the scheme’s coverage prohibiting participation in any type of protest, all corps members are knowledgeable that biometric clearance and CDS actions are suspended with fast impact. The date for the presumption of those actions shall be communicated in the end.
“Resulting from this postponement of all NYSC actions, all corps members are directed to not put on their uniforms for any cause this week.
“Throughout this era, all corps members are assured that they are going to be attended to of their mufti.
“I want to reiterate that the scheme promotes unity and won’t tolerate any corps member collaborating in any type of protest that would result in the breakdown of regulation and order.”
