The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Protection Corps (NSCDC) has commenced the retraining of the primary batch of fifty (50) Non-public Guards Firms (PGC) in Zamfara.
The state commandant, Sani Mustapha, declared the retraining programme open on Tuesday on the NSCDC State Command headquarters in Gusau, the state capital. He stated the goal is to instill professionalism and self-discipline among the many personnel of all of the PGCs within the state.
Mustapha emphasised the necessity for retraining and professionalism and intelligence gathering amongst the personal guards.
He stated NSCDC is saddled with the core mandate to register, prepare, supervise, monitor and checkmate the actions of all personal guard firms within the nation as contained in part 3 of the 2003 and 2007 Act as amended.
“It’s to this finish that the Corps has packaged a two-week coaching and retraining train for the Non-public Guards in Zamfara State”, he stated.
