The Nationwide Judicial Council (NJC) has formally advisable Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun to President Bola Tinubu, for appointment as the following Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

In line with an announcement from the Council, signed by its Director of Data, Soji Oye, Esq., the advice was crucial because the incumbent CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will formally bow out of workplace on August 22, 2024.

He mentioned the NJC additionally advisable 27 candidates for appointment as Judges of State Excessive Courts and a candidate for appointment as Kadi of the Sharia Courtroom of the FCT, Abuja, to their numerous State Governors.

LEADERSHIP had just a few days in the past reported that Justice Kekere-Ekun was set to succeed Justice Ariwoola as the best judicial officer and the second feminine CJN.
