The Lagos State Police Command has strongly condemned the act of vandalism by aggrieved subscribers at an MTN workplace within the FESTAC City space of Lagos on Monday.
The cellular community subscribers besieged the MTN workplace because of the deactivation of their SIM playing cards as instructed by the Nigeria Communication Fee (NCC) over non-linkage of their Nationwide Identification Numbers (NINs) with their SIM playing cards.
In a viral video, subscribers had been seen making an attempt to tug down the corrugated iron sheets on the perimeter fence of the MTN workplace.
However, reacting to the event, the Lagos State Police Command, by means of its spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, berated the aggrieved subscribers for his or her perspective.

Sp Hundeyin acknowledged, “This shouldn’t be the way in which to go!”
He added, “In the meantime, the DPO FESTAC and his males responded instantly once they bought the report. They succeeded in restoring normalcy and are nonetheless on the bottom to keep up peace.”
