The Nigerian Academic Mortgage Fund (NELFUND) has introduced the disbursement of N850 million to tertiary institutions throughout the nation for school fees.

This current allocation is along with the over N1.7 billion already distributed to roughly 20,000 college students.

NELFUND Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyer, revealed the most recent monetary assist throughout a press briefing in Abuja.

“The sum of N850 million can be transferred from NELFUND’s account to establishments as we speak. That is separate from the N1.7 billion that has beforehand been disbursed,” Sawyer acknowledged.

The initiative is anticipated to profit round 1.2 million college students, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s instructional help objectives.

The scheme is a part of a broader effort to offer monetary help to college students and is a key part of the not too long ago amended scholar mortgage invoice signed by President Tinubu.
