The College of Ibadan (UI) has efficiently secured N201,114,650.00 from the Nigerian Training Mortgage Fund (NELFUND) to help the schooling of 1,370 college students for the 2023/2024 educational session.
The event was confirmed by the College’s Director of Public Relations, Mrs. Joke Akinpelu, in an announcement despatched to the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
An inside memo, dated August 9 and obtained by NAN, disclosed that the funds had been deposited into the establishment’s account. The memo, signed by the establishment’s Registrar, Mr. Ganiyu Saliu, and addressed to the Dean of Pupil Affairs, indicated that the bursary division is at present processing the funds to situation ‘good receipts’ to the beneficiaries.
“Any scholar who’s a beneficiary of the NELFUND mortgage and has already paid levies for the session charge is entitled to a refund,” the memo said. It additional instructed that college students searching for a refund should apply via the Dean of College students to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Lecturers, offering their account particulars together with a photocopy of the unique cost receipt.
The Registrar emphasised that this info applies completely to college students whose purposes for the NELFUND mortgage had been permitted.
