The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has launched the 2024 West African Secondary Faculty Certificates Examination (WASSCE) for the Might/June examination.

WAEC’s Head of Nigeria Organisation, Amos Dangut, who introduced this on Monday, acknowledged that outcomes of 1,685,889 candidates, accounting for 93.9% had been launched.

Dangut added that though insecurity hampered the conduct of the examination in several areas of the nation, 1,805, 216 candidates registered for the WASSCE.

“WAEC is releasing its outcomes as we speak as out of 1,805, 216 that entered for examination, 1,332, 089 candidates have credit in 5 topics together with any topics with both Arithmetic or English language and 1,301, 949 candidates bought credit in 5 topics together with Arithmetic and English language accounting for 72.9% of whole candidates.

“It is a 7.6% lower in examination efficiency in comparison with final 12 months of 2023 WASSCE. Additionally 215, 267 outcomes had been withheld as a consequence of examination malpractice by the candidates. This accounts for 11.92%
