Egyptian Olympic wrestler Mohamed ‘Kesho’ Ibrahim has been arrested in Paris for allegedly sexual assault.
A press release by the Paris prosecutor’s workplace stated, “On August 9 round 5am, a person born in March 1998 in Egypt who was a wrestler within the Olympic delegation was arrested in entrance of the Oz Cafe.”
The Egyptian wrestler was arrested for allegedly touching the buttocks of one other buyer on the cafe.
The Egyptian Olympic Committee (EOC) named Kesho, who gained a bronze medal on the Tokyo 2020 Video games, because the workforce member who had been arrested.
The EOC added that Kesho shall be investigated by its ethics committee and will face a life ban from competitors if discovered responsible.
“If the allegations are substantiated, the wrestler will face everlasting suspension and shall be barred from taking part in each home and worldwide competitions,” it stated.
Kesho was overwhelmed by Azerbaijan’s Hasrat Jafarov within the first spherical of the boys’s 67kg Greco-Roman wrestling on Wednesday.
The EOC stated he had been given permission to go away the Egyptian camp to look at the ultimate of his weight class however did not return and turned off his telephone.
