The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the permits of 10 personal jet operators for unlawful operations.

The operators failed to finish a compulsory recertification course of regardless of the directive to take action by the regulator.

In line with the NCAA, the affected jets have been misusing their Allow for Non-Business Flight (PNCF) by partaking in industrial actions. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Rules 2023 Half 18.3.4 explicitly prohibits PNCF holders from utilizing their plane for the carriage of passengers, cargo, or mail for rent or reward.

LEADERSHIP recollects that the NCAA had instructed all PNCF holders to bear re-evaluation by April 19, 2024, however 10 operators didn’t comply. Consequently, their permits have been suspended.

1. Azikel Dredging Nigeria Ltd

2. Bli-Aviation Security Providers

3. Ferry Aviation Developments Ltd

4. Matrix Power Ltd

5. Marrietta Administration Providers Ltd

6. Worldwide Skypaths Providers

7. Mattini Airline Providers Ltd

8. Aero Lead Ltd

9. Sky Hen Air Ltd

10. Ezuma Jets Ltd

NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Client Safety, Michael Achimugu, said that: “It’s unlawful to have interaction PNCF holders for industrial functions.”

LEADERSHIP studies that only some days in the past, the Federal Authorities accused some unnamed personal jet operators of unwholesome actions like illicit drug trafficking, amongst others.
