A driver of a bus, collectively 18 passengers within the car have been final week kidnapped by gunmen in Akwa Ibom State.
Police authorities within the state confirmed the kidnapping on Tuesday, stating that the incident occurred alongside the Azumini boundary between Akwa Ibom and Abia states.
The ill-fated bus which departed the Uyo Terminus, was touring by means of Iwukem in Etim Ekpo native council space of Akwa Ibom earlier than it was intercepted by the gunmen.
Eyewitnesses, who requested anonymity, revealed that the assailants halted the bus by firing photographs into the air.
Extra gunmen emerged from the bush to affix the preliminary gang within the capturing earlier than ordering all passengers to disembark from the bus below the dying risk.
