The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, via the Barau I. Jibrin Basis (BIJF), has opened purposes for scholarships for postgraduate college students in Synthetic Intelligence (AI), Forensic and Robotics Sciences.
Established to offer humanitarian, academic and empowerment throughout the nation, the Secretary of the Scholarship Committee of the BIJF, Dr. Maikudi Lawan, stated the three fields had been chosen to offer specialised expertise to residents.
He stated the scholarship program was conceived to advertise tutorial excellence and help deserving people from the Kano North Senatorial District.
He stated the candidates are to pick out from three programmes: M. Tech. (Info Safety & Cyber Forensic), M. Tech. (Synthetic Intelligence & Machine Studying) and M. Tech. (Robotics Sciences).
The Basis restricts the scholarship program to the three fields as a part of efforts to contribute in the direction of the nation’s technological development.
A press release issued by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, on Sunday, stated: “We’re elevating the bar and providing postgraduate scholarships in these three specialised fields to offer the wanted expertise to our youths. On commencement, the beneficiaries will change into professionals and consultants in these fields, thus contributing to the technological development of our nation.”
He stated the programme is roughly 18 months, including that the anticipated 12 months of commencement is 2026.
In line with him, the deadline for the submission of the purposes is July 30, 2024.
It will be recalled that the Deputy President of the Senate had on December 1, 2023, introduced his intention to supply postgraduate scholarships to indigent college students from Kano North Senatorial District with First Class levels.
Barau, who represents Kano North Senatorial District within the Senate, made the pledge when he hosted the management of the College students Union Authorities (SUG) of the Bayero College Kano (BUK) on the Nationwide Meeting. He stated the scholars can be sponsored to review programs in Synthetic Intelligence, Forensics and Robotics Sciences, amongst others, on the postgraduate stage.
