Forward of the formal coronation of the brand new Olubadan of Ibadan Land on Friday, July 12, 2024, the brand new Olubadan Palace was on Wednesday night commissioned in Ibadan, by the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
LEADERSHIP studies that the brand new Palace mission was initiated by the immediate-past administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Governor Makinde, who took to his verified social media handles on Wednesday evening to reveal the event, thanked the late Governor Ajimobi; a former President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Chief O. O. Bello; Chief Bayo Oyero, and all Ibadan indigenes, who contributed to make the mission a actuality.
He added that for the second section of the palace, the State authorities will embrace renovating the Bower’s Tower with a view to enhance tourism within the State.
Makinde wrote: “This night, we commissioned the brand new Olubadan Palace in Ibadan. The occasion gave us a possibility to acknowledge and thank everybody who made it doable together with former Governor Abiola Ajimobi who began it, the previous President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Chief O.
