Deputy Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has expressed unhappiness over the demise of the member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State within the Home, Hon. Olaide Adewale Akinremi.
Akinremi, popularly generally known as Jagaban, died within the early hours of Wednesday in Abuja after a quick sickness.
The Deputy Speaker, in a condolence message contained in a press release signed by his Particular Assistant on Press Affairs, Udora Orizu, expressed profound grief on the loss, recalling the contributions of the late lawmaker to nation-building by way of legislative interventions and insurance policies.
He famous that Akinremi, till his demise, was a detribalised Nigerian who labored to serve the curiosity of Nigerians.
Kalu mentioned the rating lawmaker was devoted and dedicated to the event of his constituency and the nation as an entire.
He recalled his energetic participation in legislative actions and the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that Akinremi will really be missed.
