The Nationwide Meeting is ready to transmit the not too long ago handed North-West Growth Fee (NWDC) Invoice to President Bola Tinubu for assent.

 

This was disclosed by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, who expressed optimism that President Tinubu will assent to the NWDC Invoice, to handle the challenges confronted by the North-West geopolitical zone of the nation.

 

Senator Barau mentioned the Invoice, which he sponsored, was set for transmission to the presidency for presidential assent, as each chambers of the Nationwide Meeting have handed the Invoice accordingly.

 

In a press release by Barau’s media aide, Ismail Mudashir, he mentioned that the passage of the Invoice by the parliament aligns with the dedication of President Tinubu to rework the nation and return it to the trail of progress and prosperity.

 

The anticipated institution of the North-West Growth Fee was aimed toward addressing the challenges going through the seven states within the North-West geopolitical zone, particularly Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto, and Zamfara, and the nation as a complete.

 

Describing the North-West because the nation’s meals basket, Senator Barau highlighted that the interventionist fee, if established, will work in the direction of the restoration of infrastructure destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents and bandits within the area.

 

Senator Barau expressed his appreciation to the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the Home of Representatives, and his esteemed colleagues at each chambers of the Nationwide Meeting for supporting the passage of the Invoice into legislation.

 

He emphasised the significance of the fee in addressing challenges within the area and all the nation.

 

He expressed his optimism that the Invoice will probably be transmitted to President Tinubu quickly for assent, expressing confidence within the President’s dedication to the nation’s transformation as outlined within the Renewed Hope Agenda.
