Not fewer than sixty-nine (69) Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to troops of Multinational Joint Activity Power (MNJTF) in Cameroon and Niger Republic between July 1 and 6, 2024.
A press release by the Chief Army Public Info Officer, MNJTF, Lt-Col. Abubakar Abdullahi disclosed that 56 Boko Haram terrorists surrendered to troops of Sector 1 Cameroon on 6 July, 2024.
Lt.-Col. Abdullahi gave a breakdown of surrendered terrorists as 13 grownup males accompanied by 43 ladies and kids.
Equally, troops on the identical date, rescued 12 members of the family of terrorists, together with 5 ladies and 7 kids.
The assertion stated each the surrendered terrorists and the rescued members of the family have been handed over to the troops of Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai, in Gamboru and Banki for additional motion.
In the meantime, on 1 July 2024, 24-year-old Tijjani Muhammad, surrendered to troops of Sector 4, Niger Republic with one AK-47 rifle, 4 magazines, and quite a few 7.62mm rounds.

The MNJTF spokesman stated the growing variety of surrendered terrorists has considerably weakened the operational functionality of Boko Haram and undermine the morale of their remaining fighters.
